More Info
The Philodendron Cordatum Brasil has bold and bright coloring, yellow variegation on dark green heart shaped leaves, and stems that are often pinkish in color. They require a medium to bright indirect light to keep vibrant colorings. In a lower light space the colors will begin to revert to a darker green. They prefer soil that stays moist, but never soggy. Dry 1-2 inches between watering to create the perfect conditions. They appreciate higher levels of humidity, but donโ€™t require it.
The Philodendron Cordatum Brasil is a fast growing trailing plant that will continue to grow in length, making it the perfect plant for a hanging basket or shelf, or to tack and drape along your wall. Protip: Propagating these plants is simple and easy to do through water propagation. Take a cutting from one or multiple stems of your plant, cutting between leaf nodes, or the spaces between leaves, then place the cut end of the stem in water with rooting hormones. After a few inches of established roots have grown, your new cuttings are ready to be potted in fresh organic potting soil, or you can choose to keep the cuttings in the water, switching out the water once a week.
