More Info
The Sago Palm is actually a cycad and not a true palm. No matter what you call it, this is a unique houseplant that has a thick bulb-like base, with stiff fronds growing up to 2 feet in length in an indoor setting. Sago palms may look intimidating to grow, however they are quite straightforward to care for. They love bright indirect light, but will grow faster in higher light with higher humidity. Do not be worried if you donโ€™t notice new growth for months at a time, the Sago Palm is simply a slow grower. As long as the fronds are staying green, they are happy. They prefer soil that dries out at least โ…” of the way between watering. Protip: These plants are very drought tolerant, waiting longer to water is always the best option if you are unsure.
