More Info
A beautiful and rare variety of hoya, the curtisii has small spade shaped leaves and silver variegation upon a soft olive coloring. Filling the top of a pot fully, the curtisii will begin to cascade down into a trailing plant with thin stems. Classic hoya care is perfect for this smaller and daintier variety, keep your plant in a bright indirect light and allow the soil to dry between waterings. Pick out a well draining pot that you love for this plant, they wonโ€™t need to be repotted again for 2-3 years, as they love to be a bit snug and rootbound in their pots. A succulent and cactus soil blend is perfect for these drought tolerant plants, and will ensure the soil does not stay too wet, keeping your watering simple and easy.
Propagating the curtisii is simple, take a cutting directly from the vine, cutting between two leaves. Place the cut end in room temperature water with rooting hormones, removing any leaves that sit below the water line. The aerial roots already present on the vines will begin to grow, allowing you to repot your cuttings once the roots are a few inches long.
