Low - Bright Indirect Light
This plant will thrive and grow the strongest in a bright indirect light, but is flexible and will tolerate most lighting scenarios, down to a low light.
High / Frequent Watering
Keep the soil of this plant moist at all times, allowing only the very top ½” - 1” of the surface soil to dry in between watering. Increase watering frequency with increased light.
This plant is safe for your pets!
The Maranta, or Prayer Plant, is pet safe, fast growing, easy to propagate, and low light tolerant. The maranta prayer plant checks all of the boxes for an easy care plant! They will do fine in low light, but will thrive in bright indirect to medium light (but do not like direct light). They prefer soil that is fairly moist at all times, so allow up to an inch of the surface to dry between waterings. The Maranta also appreciates high levels of humidity to keep their leaf edges from drying and turning brown.
Protip: These plants will grow into a full and sprawling plant, but are easy to propagate. Simply take a cutting from the stem of the plant below a leaf node, and place the cut end in a glass of water with rooting hormones until a couple of inches of roots grow, then the cuttings are ready to be potted in fresh potting soil.
